Agnes Hvizdalek / Harald Fetveit (from Norway) and k.a.n.a / Haruhisa Tanaka

Agnes Hvizdalek uses only voice and microphone, although with her voice techniques it may sound like something else entirely, while Harald Fetveit uses primitive electronics, as the voice can sometimes sound like. Their playing with the similarities between pure voice and pure electronics gives a musical tension and a distinctive sound. Their duo has existed since 2008, and together they have played at festivals like All Ears, Metamorf, Piksel and Cable#.

Agnes Hvizdalek has developed an individual vocabulary of sounds using her voice as an instrument. Her works include solo performances, live sound installations and collaborations with Harald Fetveit, Kristin Andersen (SPUNK), Norwegian Noise Orchestra, Bonnie Jones, Jim Denley, Seijiro Murayama, Franz Hautzinger, Klaus Filip, Radu Malfatti, Daniel Lercher, and Jakob Schneidewind (Elektro Guzzi), among others. She is in charge of the international improvising orchestra ÖNCZkekvist. In the course of studying cultural management, she analysed creative processes of improvising collectives in the context of distributive leadership theories. Additional studies in improvised music, phonetics and social and cultural anthropology. 2013 Startstipendium (soung artists stipend) by the Austrian Ministry of Culture. Born 1987 in Vienna; based in Oslo since 2008.

Harald Fetveit lives in Oslo, and has made noise and experimental music since the mid 80´s. He has studied visual arts, and has created environmental installation works, but also worked with a variety of aspects of performance art and theatre with, among others, Baktruppen and Verdensteatret. He retraced his steps to focus on his interest in audio, and is currently operating as curator of a series for experimental concerts and related activities, Dans for voksne, which he started in 2003. As a musician, he has played with Mattin, Taku Unami, Lucio Capece, John Hegre, Alexei Borisov, Lene Grenager, Junko Hiroshige etc.
