Chris Sigdell is an experimental electronic musician from Sweden. He developed a soft spot for early industrial textures and pioneering ambient soundscapes while cutting his teeth in cult industrial band NID (1995-2005). He builds an interesting body of work that moves in various directions at the same time. From dealings with ambient and isolationism on one hand and experimental music, ranging from the soft microsound end to the more engaging noise end, in a clever combination of ideas...

Since going solo in 2005 he has performed over 300 concerts in the whole of Europe, and completed three Norht Amercian tours. He has appeared at various renown festivals such as Audio Art (PL), Les Digitales (CH), Norberg Festivalen (S), Temple Of Silence (PL), PNEM (NL), Støy På Landet (N), Monsters Of Rot (IRL), Destroy All Artifacts (UK), Unser Industrie (DE), Ausklang (DE), Shift (CH), Lab30 (DE), Kildemose Festivalen (DK), Zeit Für Lärm (DE), Sinus Series (CH).

b°tong has released +10 albums on labels like Drone Records, Zoharum, Greytone,Attenuation Circuit, Noecho Records and Gears Of Sand. New label Hots will release the live album “Each And Every Word Must Die” on vinyl, while Reverse Alignment is set to release two CD’s “The Long Journey and “Monastic“ this year. 2017 also sees him composing music for circus artist Finn Jagd Andersen’s piece “Vertikal“.

Live, b°tong is using found electronic objects and effect pedals to re-create his sonic experiments. b°tong is afloat in the mind-drone droned mind.
