  鈴木 淳 個展 「Art Fair Earth®」

Atsushi Suzuki is a contemporary artist who uses various methods of expression, including installations using ready-made objects around him, photography, video, performance, and text. These works and actions draw out and differentiate the characteristics of the place and the sense of discomfort latent in everyday life, including humor and irony, from familiar landscapes, "things" and "things" in our daily lives.

For this exhibition, Atsushi Suzuki will hold a solo exhibition of paintings only, which will take the form of an "art fair," where the works will be priced and sold.

The paintings consist of the following two series

On the Bed" series
These are line drawings of a toweling blanket on a bed that remains after waking up in the morning.
The cloth, left haphazardly, can take many forms and can be imagined as something else.
Awakening from sleep is a universal act that everyone experiences every day, and is also a symbol of "resurrection," "rebirth," or "life and death.

It is also a tribute to John Lennon and Yoko Ono's iconic 1969 "Love & Peace" performance, "Bed In.

Just One Tree" series
This series depicts one pruned and deformed roadside tree at a time.
The street trees we see every day in various forms have lost their original shape due to the function of the city.
This may be a reflection of each and every one of us living in the modern age.
These trees, which appear to be dead trees, are actually depictions of what they would look like in early spring.
Soon after this, a new record will begin to sprout and branches will begin to grow little by little.
These can be seen as "hope.
Please look for "your tree" among the trees with variously transformed branches.
