A Derailed Landscape

A collaborative exhibition by two Hong Kong artists based in Hong Kong and Fukuoka.
Taking urban posters from both cities as a point of departure, the artists appropriate, transform, and play with these images through two series of colored pencil drawings, reexamining the construction and interpretation of modern urban landscapes.

高 展毅 (Kou コウ テンキ)
Born in Hong Kong and currently based in Fukuoka, the artist works across multiple media, including painting, installation, video, and sound.
His past works have primarily incorporated material objects from contemporary society, reflecting his view that modern life is a world constructed through human-made materiality.

小曼 (Siu Man シウ マン)
A painter based in Hong Kong.
Her works are primarily paintings presented on canvas, wood panels, sculptures, and paper.
Focusing on human relationships, she deliberately conceals facial expressions, using gestures, body movements, colors, and surrounding objects to evoke another, absurd world. In recent years, she has focused particularly on works on paper.
