Takasumi Abe solo Exhibition " nightscape "

We are pleased to announce the upcoming solo exhibition “nightscape” by Takasumi Abe.

Since the beginning of his career, Abe has explored the theme of “Junkan (circulate)” in his work. He has created a wide range of pieces, including installations that draw light into entire spaces, devices that capture the sound of clouds, and sound installations that amplify and circulate the sounds of a space using wire, water, microphones, and other elements. After relocating to Tokyo in 2012, he continued to explore this theme through different approaches, which eventually developed into a series of oil paintings that examine the expression of light using familiar landscapes, objects, and events as motifs. This exhibition marks the first opportunity to present Abe’s oil paintings in Fukuoka.

This exhibition will also be the final curated show at art space tetra. We hope that the memory of the space, together with the light depicted in the paintings, will remain with each visitor, and that the exhibition will continue to inspire new forms of expression.
